Minimum: Trade Certification as Electrical and Instrumentation Journeyman or equivalent experience 

  • Preferred: 2-year degree in Electrical and Instrumentation or a related field 
  • Electrical power distribution

  • Industrial instrumentation (not mandatory but a plus) 
  • Control and communications networks.

  • Candidates must have 2 years working experience as an electrician. 
  • Solid leadership skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Familiar with storeroom and procurement processes to include getting quotes, kitting, and parts/inventory control. 
  • Experience scheduling work and directing work with external contractors(preferred) 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including Lean and Six Sigma 
  • Initiative-taker whoactsand can inspire others to do the same. 
  • Demonstrate good judgment with proficient decision-making and critical thinking skills. 
  • Experience maintaining or working with budgeting constraints(preferred) 

Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Team Leader the Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Planner will be responsible for day-to-day planning, prepping, and scheduling of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance for assigned assets along with coordination of contractor and vendor services under their cognizance. 

  • Plan and schedule electrical maintenance day to day work to include prioritizing jobs, kitting parts, developing timelines, adhering to budget constraints and critiquing maintenance day when complete.
  • Work jointly with engineering to facilitate consistency between DCS, PLC, Pi &Parc Viewsystems.
  • Work with the Reliability and Operations Teams to identify/implement ways to improve equipment reliability.
  • Develop and maintain job safety analysis program for area of responsibility. Assist site electrical engineer with developing, documenting, and training electricians on the following: Arc Flash and Safety Requirements.
  • Support the maintenance escalation plan by answering off-hours phone calls and/or coming on-site to support shift maintenance with equipment repairs to restore production. 
  • Work interactively with the Operation Team, Logistics Team, and Maintenance Leaders to plan and schedule daily/weekly job plans.Function as a resource for trouble shooting equipment issues, both on the floor and through formal issues meetings.Make sure that changes made are communicated and aligned with Mill needs.
  • Assist in maintaining change management systemand adhering to the process.
  • Identify training needs and develop plans to improve electrical skills. Assist in training E&I group (new and junior employees) in basic troubleshooting of Instrument and Control related issues.
