IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, seeking Senior Electrical Project Manager - Data Center, Herndon, Virginia.    

Job Summary

  • Provides overall management in all phases of construction for one or more Data Center electrical projects and develops new business opportunities relative to a particular Client, group of Clients or geographical area.
  • Manages projects in a manner that exceeds our customers' expectations and ensures that our work adheres to NEC, company safety policies and OSHA mandated requirements.
  • Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Represents company in project meetings and assists in labor negotiations, strategy meetings.
  • Manages financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintains good relationship with clients.
  • Manages the project team to ensure that project delivery meets the expectations of the client as well as IES.
  • Performs takeoffs and price change orders and project related quotes.
  • Works closely with the Project Executive to ensure accurate tracking and financial reporting.
  • Work required to be performed at the Project Site.

Qualifications

  • 8 or more years' electrical construction project management experience in all phases of electrical projects $20-$100M including mission critical, ground-up construction, and remodeling.
  • Bachelor's Degree engineering or construction management preferred
  • Data Center experience is required.
  • Hyperscale Data Center experience preferred.
  • Valid Electrical License on the Journeyman or Master level strongly preferred.
  • Proficient computer, communications (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed understanding of electrical estimating, budgeting, scheduling and project tracking.
  • Detailed understanding of billing and financial reporting.
  • Business knowledge of vendors in respective electrical construction industry.
  • Proficient in Accubid, Blue Beam, Procore, CX Alloy, BIM360, MS Project, P6 and other industry standard software.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check.
