Manager, International Benefits

Capital One is seeking a Manager for the International Benefits team to drive critical initiatives in support of a unified, global governance framework. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and work closely with leaders, peers, and partners in all Capital One locations to ensure that Benefits strategies are driven by global principles, meet regulatory requirements, and preserve local culture and brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Influence and execute a multi-year Benefits and HR Services roadmap in support of the global governance framework for Human Resources

  • Partner with the International Benefits team to ensure the global governance model is well-managed and operationally stable, with clear processes and communication channels for escalation support and issue management

  • Build and sustain strategic networks to drive work smoothly across all locations, managing processes, routines, communications, and shared documentation

  • Collaborate with leaders, peers, and partners globally to manage projects; includes accountability for project strategy, schedule, budget, ceremonies, communications, and stakeholder management

  • Continuously partner to streamline and improve processes, tools, and resources in support of the International Benefits team

  • Seek diverse perspectives from in-country subject matter experts to ensure global solutions maintain cultural relevance

  • Manage global entity structure changes

  • Organize and manage the socialization, documentation, and approval of decisions with Benefits Leadership and Benefits Committees

  • Analyze benefit program metrics to evaluate opportunities for global economies of scale, value on investment, and opportunities for improvement

  • Manage relationship with external vendors (where applicable)

  • LeverageAIto expedite problem-solving, drive process efficiency, and improve associate experiences

The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Has the ability to consensus build, influence and collaborate

  • Comfortable working in an Agile/Scaled Agile/Scrum environment

  • Has the ability to story tell with data

  • Detail-oriented strategic thinker with analytical problem-solving capabilities

  • Experienced leading complex projects with a focus on execution and ability to work through ambiguity and deliver work through others

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in Human Resources

  • At least 2 years of experience working within a matrixed environment

  • At least 2 years of project management experience

  • At least 2 years of process management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits

  • Project Management certification

  • Process Management certification

  • Professional Human Resources certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Benefits


Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Benefits










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
