GFT is seeking a Sr. Project Manger/Engineer, Electrical to join our Buildings and Places Business Group in Fife, WA ! This role full time on site ( 5 days a week) at our Fife, WA location.

What you’ll be challenged to do:
This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Electrical Project Manager/Engineer who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The role highlights a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and results on every project.  You will be doing a combination of the design work as well as managing projects.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Project Management of a team of engineers/designers to complete electrical design projects.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines as required for a successful project.
  • Interface with clients and owners.
  • Writing project specifications.
  • Managing project budgets.
  • Meet with clients for the purposes of obtaining future work.
  • Design building and site lighting systems.
  • Size, coordinate, and specify lighting fixtures and electrical distribution equipment.
  • Calculate and analyze electrical loads.
  • Perform lighting calculations to ensure adequate light distribution and energy-efficient design.
  • Provide design support in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  • Attend meetings with the project team, including architects and other engineering disciplines.
  • Ensure electrical design complies with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare documentation for permit applications and agency review.
  • Perform construction site visits and write field reports.

What you will bring to our firm:
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in the A/E/C industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering  or equivalent experience 
  • Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCad, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Excellent attention to detail

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $175,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
