This is an exciting opportunity for an electrical project manager to be involved early with a fast-growing electrical company. We are looking to hire an experienced electrical Project Manager that can estimate and manage various commercial electrical projects from bidding to close out.

To be successful the project manager will need to cultivate relationships with Contractors and Owners to develop business. Communicate with clients to determine the scope of each project. Market research for material and equipment pricing. Establishing and maintaining budgets for each project. Identify ways to continually improve cost-estimating procedures and project management to reduce inconsistencies between estimated and actual project costs.

Manager should be detail-oriented and have sound knowledge of electrical codes. Should be adept at understanding contract documents and demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, oversees and manages multiple electrical projects simultaneously in various stages from bid phase to close out
  • Research opportunities and develop business
  • Maintain relationships with Owners, Clients and Contractors
  • Review all project specifications and drawings and prepare detailed estimates
  • Negotiate pricing
  • Create budgets for electrical projects
  • Procure materials and equipment for projects
  • Communicate/coordinate with field staff
  • Monitor the budget, resources and project progress
  • Adopt company values for Safety, Quality and Production
  • Conduct project reviews and recommend project improvements
  • Reporting of project progress and budget status to management

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills are required
  • Efficient time management skills
  • Detail orientated
  • Understanding contract specification and drawing requirements
  • Experience with electrical takeoff and pricing software
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office

Education and Training:

  • B.S. in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering and/or 5-10 years' electrical management experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Will require travel to jobsites
  • Involves sitting, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Can involve lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range

$110,000 - $125,000
