About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to join a well-established commercial electrical contractor in Chicago. This role is ideal for a driven professional who thrives in a client-facing environment and has a proven track record of estimating, selling, and successfully managing commercial electrical projects.

The ideal candidate has managed commercial electrical projects exceeding $1M and understands how to drive work from bid through closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial electrical projects

  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope

  • Develop proposals and actively participate in selling and securing projects

  • Manage projects from pre-construction through completion

  • Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field teams

  • Build and maintain strong client and vendor relationships

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction

  • Demonstrated experience estimating, selling, and managing projects

  • Experience handling commercial electrical projects $1M+

  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, codes, and best practices
