Position Summary
Triton's Acoustics Group is an interdisciplinary engineering team focused on transforming innovative concepts into market-ready products. Our team works across a wide variety of projects, providing engineers with opportunities to develop solutions to our customers' most critical challenges.
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Electrical Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary product development team. In this role, you will contribute to projects spanning the entire product lifecycle, from concept development and system architecture through prototyping, field testing, and product launch. Our work supports a broad range of applications across commercial, defense, and medical technology sectors. Innovation and technical problem solving will be a major part of your position along with the ability to work productively with a diverse engineering team. Experience developing both hardware and software for embedded systems is highly desired.
The successful candidate is a proactive engineer who enjoys transforming ideas into working products. They are equally comfortable at the lab bench debugging hardware, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing project schedules, and producing high-quality technical documentation. They possess a strong sense of ownership and are committed to delivering innovative, reliable, and manufacturable products.
Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience designing and prototyping hardware devices
  • Experience designing embedded systems
  • Familiarity with schematic / PCB CAD tools
  • Product development mentality
  • Strong technical writing skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using PCB design software (Altium preferred)
  • Experience managing PCBA prototype and production manufacturing at contract manufacturers
  • Hands-on in-the-lab experience bringing up and debugging hardware designs
  • Experience soldering and assembling, especially miniature assemblies
  • Experience with embedded microcontrollers (i.e. STM32)
  • Experience with embedded programming languages (i.e. C)
  • Familiarity with common communications interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB)
  • Comfortable working on complete product lifecycle from definition through post-launch support.
  • Signal processing experience for commercial, medical or military applications a plus.
  • Experience writing technical proposals, engineering reports, design documentation, and test plans.

Education/Experience
  • 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent; Advanced Degree a plus
  • 5-7 years of experience in electrical hardware product development
