Location: New Hampshire

Compensation: $130,000โ€“$150,000 annually

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical testing and maintenance projects across renewable energy, data center, and commercial & industrial (C&I) environments.

This role is ideal for a technically strong project manager who understands electrical testing, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and field service operationsโ€”and who can effectively manage projects from initial scope through completion while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.

The Electrical Project Manager will work closely with field technicians, engineers, customers, subcontractors, and internal leadership to ensure testing and maintenance projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical testing and maintenance projects from proposal/award through successful completion and closeout.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate field personnel, testing technicians, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and other project resources.
  • Oversee electrical testing activities including, as applicable:
  • Protective relay testing
  • Circuit breaker testing
  • Transformer testing
  • Switchgear testing
  • Grounding and bonding testing
  • Insulation resistance testing
  • Battery and DC system testing
  • Cable testing
  • Electrical equipment commissioning
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Support testing and maintenance programs for renewable energy facilities, data centers, and commercial & industrial electrical systems.
  • Review project scopes, drawings, specifications, test procedures, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure testing activities and deliverables comply with applicable NFPA, NETA, IEEE, OSHA, and manufacturer requirements, as applicable.
  • Manage project budgets, labor utilization, material costs, change orders, invoicing, and profitability.
  • Communicate project status, risks, schedules, and financial performance to customers and company leadership.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies before they impact safety, schedule, cost, or quality.
  • Ensure all project documentation, test reports, deficiency reports, commissioning records, and closeout packages are completed accurately and on time.
  • Participate in pre-job planning, safety meetings, project kickoff meetings, and customer coordination meetings.
  • Help develop long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional testing, maintenance, and service work.
  • Support estimating and proposal development by providing technical and project execution input.
  • Travel to customer sites throughout New Hampshire and surrounding markets as required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical project management, electrical testing, commissioning, field service, or a related electrical discipline.
  • Experience managing electrical testing and maintenance projects is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems and equipment.
  • Experience with one or more of the following markets preferred:
  • Renewable energy / utility-scale solar
  • Data centers
  • Commercial & industrial facilities
  • Manufacturing
  • Mission-critical facilities
  • Utility electrical infrastructure
  • Familiarity with NETA testing standards and practices is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of electrical safety requirements, including NFPA 70E and OSHA.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, specifications, and equipment documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, budgets, labor, subcontractors, and customer expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead field teams while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the region.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NETA certification or experience working within a NETA-accredited testing organization.
  • Electrical engineering, electrical technology, or related technical education.
  • Experience with electrical commissioning and startup.
  • Experience with data center or other mission-critical electrical infrastructure.
  • Experience with renewable energy facilities and/or substations.
  • Experience with project management software and estimating/job-cost systems.
  • OSHA or other relevant safety certifications.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate is a hands-on project leader with strong electrical knowledge who can bridge the gap between the customer, project team, and field technicians. You are comfortable discussing technical requirements with engineers and customers while also managing schedules, budgets, documentation, and day-to-day project execution.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where safety and technical quality are non-negotiable and where successful project delivery depends on strong communication and proactive problem solving.

Compensation & Opportunity

Base Salary: $130,000โ€“$150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
