Job description

Job Title: Electrical Project Manager (Commercial Construction – Large-Scale Projects)

Location: New Carlisle, Indiana
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $120,000 annually


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial electrical construction projects valued at $20 million+. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex electrical systems on commercial, industrial, or institutional projects from pre-construction through closeout.

This role requires proven leadership in managing budgets, schedules, field teams, subcontractors, and client relationships on high-value electrical construction projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of electrical construction projects ($20M+) from start to finish
  • Oversee project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and profitability
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and milestones
  • Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, owners, and subcontractors
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Lead field supervision teams, foremen, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with NEC codes, OSHA regulations, and local requirements
  • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety, quality, and progress
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and field issues
  • Maintain strong client communication and project reporting


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction
  • Proven experience managing large-scale electrical projects ($20M+)
  • Strong understanding of commercial/industrial electrical systems
  • Experience with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of NEC codes and construction safety standards
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors


Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with data centers, manufacturing, healthcare, or large institutional projects
  • PMP certification a plus
