Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Planner to support operations at a mining facility in Kingman, Arizona. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant and mining equipment.

The Electrical Planner works closely with supervisors, electricians, reliability engineers, and supply chain teams to develop detailed job plans, coordinate resources, and ensure all materials, tools, and procedures are prepared prior to execution.

This is a critical role focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and optimizing productivity in a heavy industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

  • Plan and schedule electrical work for plant and mining equipment.
  • Review, prioritize, and coordinate work orders with supervisors and operations teams.
  • Develop detailed job plans including scope, labor requirements, materials, tools, and safety procedures.

Work Package Development

  • Create comprehensive work packages including:
    • Detailed work scope
    • Required labor and craft skill sets
    • Safety requirements and job hazard analysis
    • Tools and equipment lists
    • Materials and spare parts
    • Drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Ensure all work packages meet company safety and operational standards.

Materials & Resource Coordination

  • Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure materials and parts availability.
  • Assist with procurement of materials and vendor services.
  • Track parts availability and maintain minimum inventory levels for critical equipment.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of activities and job history.
  • Generate reports to support planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Track job completion and update schedules as needed.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all planning aligns with company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support development of safe work procedures and job hazard analyses.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across teams.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

  • 8+ years of electrical experience in mining, industrial, manufacturing, or power generation environments.
  • Experience with planning and scheduling.
  • Experience creating job plans and work packages.
  • Experience supporting plant shutdowns or large projects.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and maintenance practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Electrical schematics
    • Technical manuals
    • Engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs
