The Vacancy
Megger is looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to improve the production of complex electrical test equipment utilized in the Electrical Generation and Distribution Industry. The position is a key contributor to the operations management team.
Key Responsibilities
• Support and drive troubleshooting effort of complex component, subassembly, and system assembly problems.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities for quality, customer service, cost, safety, on time delivery, and compliance.
• Drive the standardization of processes and implementation of performance metrics.
• Create plans for electronics processing capital acquisition; specifications, sourcing, installation, and qualification.
• Create, maintain, and modify production work instructions for assembly and testing.
• Participate in manufacturability design reviews for new products with development engineering.
• Creation of safe work practices and hazardous conditions remediation.
• Analyze production processes for improvement of labor efficiency and material cost.
• Develop training materials for assembly personnel.
• Provide technical assistance to the quality department to support corrective action on product quality issues.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Analytical and mathematical proficiency
• Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• 5-8 Years experience directly working in an electro-mechanical manufacturing industry.
• English fluency
• Effective communication skills to interface with assembly personnel
• Familiarity with Surface Mount and through hole assembly technologies
• Experience with IPC 610 & ISO 9000 standards
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
