Job description

Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager

Houston, Texas

Full-Time | In-Office | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary: $95K+

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical systems design, project management experience, and the ability to successfully lead projects from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering and design efforts for commercial, institutional, industrial, municipal, and facility-related projects.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring schedules, budgets, and deliverables are achieved.
Develop and oversee electrical designs including:
Power distribution systems
Medium-voltage and high-voltage systems
Lighting and lighting controls
Emergency and standby power systems
Grounding systems
Low-voltage and communication systems
Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Serve as the primary client contact throughout project execution.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for future work.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, designers, and project team members.
Review plans, specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables for quality and code compliance.
Participate in project planning, staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and troubleshooting.
Assist with business development efforts, client meetings, proposals, and presentations.
Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas required.
Minimum of 8 years of electrical engineering experience.
U.S. Citizen or authorized to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
Current Houston-area resident or ability to work onsite in Houston.
Strong experience designing electrical systems for:
Commercial buildings
Facilities and campus environments
Industrial facilities
Petrochemical facilities
Municipal and infrastructure projects
Experience with medium-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems.
Proven project management experience leading engineering projects from design through construction.
Experience managing client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor.
Demonstrated leadership experience supervising engineers, designers, and project teams.
Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and applicable industry standards.
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications

8+ years of electrical engineering experience.
Consulting engineering experience.
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Experience supporting large-scale capital improvement projects.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical engineering software.
Experience with healthcare, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or mission-critical facilities.
