Electrical Project Engineer / Project Manager


📍 DFW Metroplex – Euless, TX

🏢 Full-Time | In-Office


Hurst Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer / Project Manager to manage commercial and industrial electrical construction projects throughout the DFW Metroplex. This position is involved in the coordination and management of projects from design and planning through completion, working directly with customers, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and other project partners.


We are looking for an experienced construction professional who can take ownership of project schedules, budgets, documentation, procurement, coordination, and customer communication. Candidates with an engineering background will also be involved in electrical system design.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from design and planning through completion
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasting, billing, and overall financial performance
  • Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, procurement, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, customers, general contractors, and other project partners throughout construction
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to support project planning and execution
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and ongoing project coordination
  • Perform and/or coordinate low- and medium-voltage electrical system design based on project requirements and engineering experience
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, contractual requirements, and project standards


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, but not required with relevant construction experience
  • FE/EIT certification or PE licensure is a plus, but not required
  • Electrical engineering education or credentials are preferred for candidates performing electrical design responsibilities


Skills & Experience

  1. Experience in commercial or industrial construction project management
  2. Electrical construction experience preferred, but not required
  3. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  4. Knowledge of electrical systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC) preferred
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  6. Experience with Bluebeam; AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus
  7. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  8. Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities
