What Youโ€™ll Do

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (PE) to provide design and consulting services across multiple project types, including multi-family, mixed-use, commercial, retail, restaurant, educational, civic, and healthcare facilities. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State who enjoys taking ownership of their work, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating closely with project teams to develop efficient and integrated designs.

Responsibilities
  • Design and oversee electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, communications, and control systems from concept through construction documents.
  • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other design professionals to produce fully integrated and compliant designs.
  • Perform load calculations, circuit design, and system modeling.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE) and safety standards.
  • Review and stamp design documents as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Participate in QA/QC reviews, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Lead or participate in client meetings and presentations.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less-experienced engineers and designers.
Requirements
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Washington.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design for multi-family, mixed-use, commercial, retail, restaurant, educational, civic, and healthcare projects.
  • Proven experience in design and implementation of electrical power, lighting, and control systems.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with Revit is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of NEC and other relevant electrical codes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering.
What We Offer

This role can be based out of either our Spokane or Mountlake Terrace offices (with hybrid flexibility). We are targeting a base salary of $90,000 to $130,000, determined by factors including education, experience, licensing, and prior work within the Pacific Northwest.
