I'm working exclusively with a fast-growing, well-established design/build firm in the Chicago suburbs who are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their internal power solutions team.

A great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to work on real, varied projects from day one - spanning mission critical, entertainment, controlled environment agriculture, industrial, commercial, and manufacturing facilities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the preparation of electrical designs - load calculations, one-line diagrams, equipment sizing, and lighting photometrics
  • Assisting with arc flash and coordination studies using SKM PowerTools
  • Working alongside experienced engineers on power system design and equipment selection
  • Gaining exposure to client, contractor, and vendor interaction on live projects
  • Contributing to value engineering reviews and design alternatives

What they're looking for:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Some experience or internship background in commercial or industrial electrical design
  • Familiarity with ETAP and/or SKM PowerTools is a bonus
  • Revit, AutoCAD, or Navisworks exposure preferred
  • EIT in progress or recently qualified — full licensure support provided
