Job description

TSP is a fast-paced, multidisciplinary design firm that successfully integrates architecture, engineering, interior design, and planning. Since 1930, TSP has been discovering facility design solutions that truly match the vision and mission of our clients.
As an Engineer-in-Training on our team, you will work with a licensed Electrical Engineer to design and model electrical systems for construction documents for a wide variety of challenging projects. You should have a basic knowledge of electrical theory, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work as a member of a team.
Specific Duties:
  • Assist in developing full construction documents (drawing and specifications) for complex electrical systems and renovation projects under the supervision of a licensed Electrical Engineer
  • Conduct power system and photometric calculations
  • Write clear and concise site observation reports
  • Effectively communicate within TSP's multidisciplinary system of architects & engineers along with building owners, property managers, and contractors
  • Learn about applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulations
  • Champion TSP

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET Accredited University
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineer (FE) exam, and designation as an Engineer in Training is preferred
  • No experience is required, but knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and/or AGI32 is a plus
