We offer both stability and growth opportunities in today’s fast-changing environment. We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Dynamic team in our Boston office.

Some of your Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as design engineer on a variety of projects from new construction to renovations from schematic design to construction. Project types include but are not limited to office buildings, labs, data centers, academic, high rise residential, hotels, museums, industrial, financial, government.
  • Be familiar with associated Codes and Standards applicable to the project.
  • Responsible for the design of power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power supply in accordance with all applicable NEC codes and standards.
  • Develop legends, site plans, lighting plans, power plans, one-lines, riser diagrams, details, various schedules such as panelboard schedules and mechanical schedules as well as load calculations.
  • Coordinate design with internal teams (mechanical, plumbing, sustainability) and external stakeholders (architects, contractors, consultants).
  • Use our MEP coordination checklist to facilitate coordination with other trades for circuiting the mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Use our Architectural coordination checklist to facilitate coordination with the Architect for coordinating power connections to equipment specified by others.
  • Perform short circuit studies for documenting equipment ratings.
  • Perform Construction Administration tasks such as field visits and subsequent issuance of field reports, responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings.


Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred but not required.
  • 5 plus years of experience in electrical building systems design, within an MEP consulting environment.
  • Experience working on commercial, academic, government, or science & technology projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required. Use of AutoCAD and electrical design calculation software (e.g., AGI 32, SKM, ETAP, EasyPower) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows and tools like Autodesk Construction Cloud and Navisworks.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities.

The total compensation that we expect to pay for this position is dependent on years of experience, licensure, education, geographic location, and project portfolio but expected to be in the $90,000 to $120,000 range.
