Job description

Electrical Engineer (hybrid)

Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer will use AutoCAD and REVIT to design electrical systems, lighting layouts, and power systems for many types of commercial building spaces.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Perform basic electrical engineering calculations
  • Layout and design electrical distribution
  • Work on lighting design and lighting controls
  • Design and layout fire alarm and low voltage system
  • Design systems in accordance with the NEC and IECC
  • Design projects from conceptual design to completion
  • Perform site investigations both during design and during construction

Qualifications and Experience:

You will be a great fit if:

  • Bachelor's Electrical Engineering or related (required)
  • You have 3 to 5+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of facilities (required)
  • You possess a Professional Engineering license or have the ability to obtain one 
  • You have a desire to grow an office and company

Skills/abilities:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT is essential (required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership ability and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Self-starter that requires little direction to get moving on a project

Location: Madison, WI (Hybrid possibilities after 90 days)

Travel: Up to 10%

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 USD per year or more depending on experience. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
