Job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for an Electrical Designer to join a leading Company located in the Pawcatuck, CT surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $40 - $65

Provide electrical design support for custom industrial machinery by producing production-ready electrical documentation and control panel designs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop electrical schematics and panel layouts
  • Create wiring diagrams and BOMs
  • Select electrical hardware
  • Update legacy documentation and updates
  • Support UL508A/NFPA 79/NEC compliance
  • Coordinate with Controls Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical design experience
  • AutoCAD Electrical
  • Machine control system design
  • PLC I/O, VFDs, servo systems, safety circuits
  • ETO environment experience

Desired Qualifications:
  • Allen-Bradley/Rockwell
  • UL508A and NFPA 79
  • Plastics extrusion or converting
  • Industrial automation and machine safety
