Reports To: Electrical Person-in-Charge (PIC)

Location: Minneapolis, MN | Hybrid for Local Candidatesย 

Anticipated Starting Salary: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00/yr.

You'll work side-by-side with engineers, clients, and design partners - developing electrical systems that make buildings safer, healthier, and more efficient. What You'll Do

  • Manage project deliverables, design timelines, and production schedules.
  • Communicate and coordinate with owners, architects, civil/structural engineers, and fellow team members.
  • Lead early-stage system planning and schematic development.
  • Redline and/or perform drafting work in Revit and AutoCAD, complete with schedules and details.
  • Serve as a key client contact, responding to questions quickly and providing documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor scope, flag potential overages, and work with the Principal in Charge to manage additional services.
  • Perform site observations with senior engineers and ensure field conditions align with the design.
  • Review shop drawings and provide construction phase support.
  • Use our signature Steen checklists to confirm design accuracy and completeness.

What You Bring

  • A trade school degree in electrical.
  • 10+ years of electrical design experience in commercial, institutional, retail or industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Office 365.
  • Familiarity with Photometric Plans or Fault Current calculation software.
  • Exceptional communication skills, strong emotional intelligence, and a drive to collaborate.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
