We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Construction Project Manager in New York, NY. The Senior Electrical Construction Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, client relations, and overall project execution to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
In this role, you will be a member of our rapidly growing Program & Project Management team concentrating on large scale corporate fit-out. This client facing role is a great opportunity for you to work on a range of projects and expand your knowledge base.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of electrical construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Assist in the development and management of the project strategic plans and program initiatives to meet the goals and needs of the Owner.
  • Act as Owner's Advisor with primary responsibility for all phases of project.
  • Manage overall planning, design, and construction process and orchestrate all activities related to design and construction.
  • Guide Clients through the complexities of design and construction, with a focus on incorporation of ownership priorities into design, construction logistics and sequencing, as well as design management of the architecture and engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with the Architect, Contractor, and other project team members to meet the project objectives and resolve issues.
  • Lead all elements related to contracts; including negotiating, drafting and executing.
  • Manage overall project budget and schedule. Report to project team and client on a regular basis.
  • Lead proposal review, leveling and analysis and present to the Client.
  • Lead selection process for all consultants and vendors, including preparation of RFQ/RFP, researching and comparing firms under consideration, and recommending and negotiating optimum business terms. This also includes team selection within firms.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
  • 7+ years of electrical construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing large-scale corporate fit-out, healthcare, mission-critical, data center, higher education, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with AV (audio-visual) systems, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and IT-related electrical infrastructure, including coordination with technology integrators and network teams.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, codes, and industry standards.
    Proven experience managing projects with significant electrical scopes and multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Firm knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials and sequences, and architectural/construction drawings and specifications.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as business presentation skills.
  • The ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff across organizational lines, including other client business units.
  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines.

The salary range for this full-time role is $130,500.00-$174,033.36 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
