Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from concept through completion. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with expertise in project management, budgeting, scheduling, contractor management, and commercial construction. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects while collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and executive leadership to deliver high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all phases of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and project schedules.

  • Conduct regular job site inspections to monitor quality, safety, schedule, and budget performance.

  • Manage architects, engineers, general contractors, consultants, and vendors throughout project execution.

  • Lead OAC meetings, project updates, and stakeholder communications.

  • Review and negotiate change orders, contracts, and payment applications.

  • Coordinate permitting, regulatory approvals, and ensure compliance with building codes and project requirements.

  • Perform punch list inspections and oversee successful project closeout.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and project management software.

  • Partner with internal operations, maintenance, and property teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience.

  • Proven success managing multiple concurrent construction projects.

  • Experience overseeing General Contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants.

  • Strong knowledge of construction budgeting, cost estimating, project scheduling, and contract administration.

  • Experience negotiating commercial construction contracts and managing change orders.

  • Working knowledge of AIA contracts, building codes, and permitting processes.

  • Experience with value engineering, risk management, and quality control.

  • Aviation, airport, industrial, or pre-engineered metal building experience is highly preferred.

  • OSHA certification or training is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Outlook, and project management platforms such as Wrike.
