Job description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a well-established electrical construction company in Arlington Heights, IL to find an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to join their team. In this role, you'll oversee electrical construction projects from initiation to completion, working closely with clients, contractors, engineers and suppliers to ensure every project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This is a great opportunity for a construction professional with strong leadership and communication skills who wants to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors to define project requirements and objectives
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings and specifications
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards and building codes
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential bottlenecks and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks
  • Manage change orders and variations, assessing impact on timelines and budgets
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on progress, milestones and potential delays
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, tracking expenses, labor costs and material procurement
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure timely material delivery
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities to optimize project efficiency without compromising quality

What's Needed?
  • Minimum 10 years of electrical construction experience
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the electrical construction industry
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, codes and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Positive attitude, productive work ethic and desire to work as part of a team
  • Nice-to-haves: experience with Primavera P6, McCormick Estimating, Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
