Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting in managing all aspects of a construction project, including invoicing, vendor billing, schedule and budget management, and communicating with customers. This individual must display a high degree of professionalism, organization and cooperation with customers and coworkers.

Duties/Responsibilities, Core knowledge: Construction Project Management

  • Prepare all contract documentation including subcontract agreements, change orders & material purchase orders for project manager review
  • Enter RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation in management software
  • Manage and keep up to date RFI, submittal, change order, and other project documentation logs in management software
  • Compile and prepare monthly invoices for review with project manager
  • Review customer billing requirements within the contract and complete as necessary
  • Manage project file integrity
  • Manage site specific badging/access requirements for employees as needed
  • Prepare for, assist with, and record weekly project meetings
  • Support project manager with their duties as needed

Skills, Qualifications, Experience: Assistant Project Manager

  • Bachelor's Degree - engineering preferred
  • Experience working directly with Federal Government or large institutions on construction contracts strongly preferred
  • Ability to assist with multiple projects
  • Ability to assist multiple project managers
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and project management software
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Exceptional organizational skills
