Position Overview

The Commercial HVAC Client Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of existing service customers. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, helping ensure a positive experience while identifying opportunities for contract renewals, additional services, and long-term account growth.

Success in this position comes from building lasting relationships, understanding customer needs, and collaborating closely with operations teams to deliver outstanding service.

This role is centered on account retention and development, with some prospecting for new business opportunities when appropriate.


Key ResponsibilitiesManage Customer Relationships
  • Serve as the main contact for assigned commercial accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with facility managers, property managers, building owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and maintain ongoing communication.
Drive Contract Renewals
  • Manage preventive maintenance and service agreement renewals.
  • Prepare renewal proposals and ensure customer programs remain aligned with operational needs.
  • Support contract retention through proactive account management.
Grow Existing Accounts
  • Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, repairs, replacements, and additional service offerings.
  • Expand service presence within existing customer locations and portfolios.
  • Partner with operations teams to develop practical solutions for customers.
Develop New Business Opportunities
  • Generate and qualify new prospects within the local market.
  • Leverage industry relationships and referrals to build awareness of Kelso Building Services.
  • Coordinate with leadership on larger regional or multi-location opportunities.
Maintain Sales Activity and Forecasting
  • Keep CRM records accurate and current.
  • Track opportunities, renewal schedules, customer interactions, and forecasts.
  • Provide regular pipeline updates and account status reports.

Preferred Experience

We're looking for a relationship-focused professional who understands commercial building services and enjoys helping customers solve problems.

Qualified candidates will typically have:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical services, controls, facilities services, or related industries.
