Job description

Job Summary:
Mills Auto Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Import Automotive Technician to join our new Triad VinFast team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the repair and maintenance of electric vehicles and ICE vehicles following manufacturer specifications. This is a full-time position with a base salary plus commission, and the ideal candidate will have experience in the auto industry and a passion for the growing field of electric vehicles. The selected candidate will be sent to VinFast EV Technical Training Class in Irvine, CA. We will provide accommodations, meals, transportation, and wages for the training. VinFast is a Vietnamese EV automotive manufacturer and is currently building a $4 million assembly plant near Raleigh to be completed in 2025. This is an exciting ground-floor opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electric vehicles, including but not limited to battery testing and replacement, brake system diagnosis and repair, and electrical system troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair any mechanical or electrical issues with electric vehicles, utilizing manufacturer diagnostic equipment and tools
- Keep detailed and accurate records of all services performed, including parts used, time spent, and recommendations for future maintenance
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and technology in the electric vehicle industry
- Proactively identify potential issues or future maintenance needs for customers' vehicles
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and company policies
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to provide exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Adhere to all manufacturer and dealership guidelines and procedures for servicing electric vehicles
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an automotive technician, with experience in electric vehicles preferred
- ASE or other relevant certifications and a NC State Inspection license is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of and experience working with electric vehicle systems and components
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and instructions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
