The Utility Worker - Water Meter Installer plays a critical role in ensuring accurate measurement and monitoring of water usage for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of water meters and related equipment, contributing directly to the efficient management of water resources. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and interacting with customers to explain procedures or address concerns. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with utility teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Ultimately, this position supports the infrastructure that enables reliable water service and accurate billing for the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Knowledge of water meter systems and construction site safety practices.
  • Previous experience in water meter installation or utility work.
