This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate to join a sophisticated environmental practice focused on supporting complex corporate, finance, and real estate transactions.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience advising clients on environmental issues arising in transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, financing transactions, securities offerings, and commercial real estate deals. Candidates should be comfortable handling environmental due diligence, risk allocation, disclosure matters, and regulatory analysis in fast-paced transactional settings.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • 3+ years of relevant environmental law experience, preferably within a law firm or government agency
  • Experience advising on environmental matters in corporate, finance, and real estate transactions
  • Familiarity with environmental due diligence, environmental disclosure obligations, and transactional risk management
  • Working knowledge of federal and state environmental statutes and regulations, including TSCA, CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, and CWA
  • Experience with ESG, climate change, sustainability, and environmental compliance matters is a plus
  • Familiarity with brownfield redevelopment, remediation strategy, and environmental risk allocation
  • Experience coordinating with EPA and state environmental agencies is preferred
  • Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Admission to practice in the applicable office jurisdiction

This firm offers a collaborative and nationally recognized platform where attorneys work closely with corporate, finance, and real estate teams on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions. Associates receive significant responsibility, direct client exposure, and opportunities for long-term professional growth within a multidisciplinary practice.

Compensation is highly competitive, with an anticipated salary range of approximately $260,000–$390,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and office location. The firm also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, and bonus opportunities.

Interested candidates should apply through Direct Counsel.
