Job Summary
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of e-learning, and self-managed learning solutions. Partner with instructional designers and business partners to determine the best methods of delivery. Assist the Learning Team and Information Technology with testing and troubleshooting of courses. Partner with all levels of the organizational development team and business partners to obtain input and to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of training materials. Work closely with Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts and other content developers in the organization to create training using various media. Assist and provide direction, and develop and maintain standards for the usage of content creation tools.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
  • Participates in the design, construction and implementation of internet, eLearning and classroom training programs and courses that support business objectives.
  • Organizes and leads curriculum design meetings with clients to gather training requirements. Partners with team members to produce quality deliverables on tight deadlines.
  • Researches, creates and organizes content that is logical for the learning sequences. Performs quality assurance for content and courses developed for eLearning platform.
  • Customizes eLearning courses using existing client and internal source material. Ensures content meets learning objectives by assessing, developing, and deploying feedback mechanisms.
  • Leverages appropriate digital media to deliver training material in the most efficient and comprehensive manner. Directs and edits video and production for e-learning content. Facilitates storyboard sessions for eLearning content creation.
  • Coordinates the conceptualization, development and layout of appropriate technical infrastructure required to deliver digital eLearning content.
  • Develops and documents a standardized and repeatable eLearning methodology. Documents user requirements for content creation.
  • Performs course administration in LMS. Conducts troubleshooting activities related to eLearning. Provides back-up support for LMS Administration.

Nature and Scope
  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.

Work Environment
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Education and Experience
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
