Job description

Training Lead - Alpharetta, GA - Hybrid
We are looking for an enthusiastic Instructional Course Designer to educate people using a mix of lecture, demonstration, hands-on exercises, and online resources. A SAFEbuilt Trainer equips and instills our employees with technical skills to administer Building Code enforcement and policy adoption. This role also trains clients, contractors and Design Professionals in Building Code regulations and concepts. We expect this role to assist with developing and deliver course materials while representing SAFEbuilt in a professional, organized, and articulate manner. The right technical trainer will help us develop impactful curriculum using adult learning best practices for live training and on-line medium.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate to devise technical training programs according to organizational requirements
  • Produce training schedules and classroom agenda
  • Determine course content according to objectives
  • Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.)
  • Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops, etc. in groups or individually
  • Arrange for and conduct on-site training when needed
  • Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues, etc.
  • Support IT Department to resolve system inefficiencies and client issues
  • Form and maintain positive relationships with Training Personnel and Company Managers. Maintain a professional appearance and image
  • Recommend procedures and processes to improve course quality

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience as technical trainer
  • Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects
  • Strong foundation in instructional delivery and adult learning principles
  • Experience in designing technical course content
  • Ability to address training needs with complete courses
  • Working knowledge in MS Office (especially PowerPoint)
  • Dynamic communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Degree/Certification in a relevant technical field
  • Certification such as CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) is a strong asset
  • Collaborative and consultative work style
  • Comfortable working with business and technical personnel at all levels of the organization, governmental entities and other clientele
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum three years of course development experience
  • Solid understanding of learning and development along with strong business acumen
  • Functional and technical expertise in learning management systems
