An EL Coordinator (English Learner Coordinator) is an education professional responsible for overseeing and supporting programs for students who are learning English as a second language. Their duties typically include developing and implementing curriculum, coordinating assessments, providing teacher training, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and advocating for English Learners’ needs. EL Coordinators work closely with teachers, administrators, students, and families to ensure that language learners receive appropriate instruction and support to succeed academically.
