ResponsibilitiesEKG technician is responsible to prepare and perform cardiac dignostic testing on patients, operate EKG equipment and ensure accurate readings for physician review.EKG technicians may also monitor cardiac rhythms, maintain equipment, document test results and follow infection control and patient safty protocols. I addition, EKG technician will perform filing, reporting, trnsporting small oxygen cylinders and other duties as needed.
