Job description

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Competently performs electrocardiograms (EKG) and Ambulatory ECG Monitor application, edits EKG report data prior to physician confirmation, complies with University Health System and departmental policies and procedures. Demonstrates and encourages positive patient/guest relations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Graduation from a health occupation high school or relevant vocational program is preferred. Six months experience as an EKG technician in an acute care hospital is preferred. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card.

LICENSURE
Certification as a Cardiographic Technician is preferred.
