Job description

Job Duties

Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) has a part-time Mental Health Practitioner opening with our Lotus Grace program in Cambridge, MN. This position will work within a 24/7 Residential Crisis Stabilization (RCS) and Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) team to develop and implement treatment plans and services that enable the service recipient to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, personal and emotional adjustment and independent living and community skills. Located on a serene 20-acre hobby farm in Cambridge, MN, RSI’s Lotus Grace IRTS & RCS setting is designed to support up to five people. The mission at Lotus Grace is to assist in addressing mental health in our community by providing services aimed to meet the immediate support needs of people experiencing mental health crises in a licensed residential setting. Our unique nature-based setting, complete with a variety of farm animals, creates a peaceful environment for healing, growth, and recovery.

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will work with the treatment team in developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment programs for adults experiencing psychiatric instability. You will provide support and services that are rehabilitative and help the recipient to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living skills.

Minimum Education Required

For this position, you will need:

To pass a post-offer background and MVR check

A valid driver’s license with no restriction

You will also need to meet one of the following qualification requirements:

Have at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related field and 2000 hours of experience with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities; or

Have at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related field and have completed a practicum or internship that focused on behavioral sciences or related field that required direct interaction with individuals served; or

Have 4000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities; or

Have 2000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities and receive treatment supervision at least once per week until obtaining 4000 hours of experience; or

Have a master's or other graduate degree in a behavioral sciences or related field.
