Job Summary:
Damovo is a company that supports customers in optimizing their business through tailor-made IT solutions. They are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Network Engineer primarily focused on wireless technologies to implement and support WLAN, LAN, and WAN solutions. The role involves managing network projects, collaborating with project teams, and assisting customers with technical issues.
Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple simultaneous network refresh projects consisting of the installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrading of various network components (access points, switches, firewalls, etc.)
• Design, test and implement new wireless deployments using a variety of industry tools such as Ekahau AI Pro, AirMagnet, Wireshark, etc.
• Collaborate and communicate with management, internal project teams and external implementation partners regarding project progress, system design, risk management, and issue resolution
• Assist internal and external customers with troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues, providing root cause analysis and resolving problem tickets promptly
Qualifications:
Required:
• Comprehensive understanding of the OSI model and networking architecture such as routing/switching, IP, TCP/UDP, and application layers
• Relevant industry certification such as Cisco CWNA, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.
• Thorough understanding of wireless networking technologies and protocols
• Professional level experience with wireless analysis tools such as Ekahau AI Pro, AirMagnet, Wireshark, etc. with relevant certifications an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems, recommend solutions, and take independent action
• Articulate communicator, customer and project delivery focused
• Flexibility to travel (20%+) and to work non-standard hours from time to time
• Motivated and assertive, comfortable working with, and directing others in a demanding project environment
• Strong wireless skills and experience are critical for this role, then general networking skills, with unified communications skills an advantage
