Location: Pecos, TX

Pay: $90,000-$120,000 depending on experience

Why Infinium
Infinium is reimagining how the world powers, moves, and computes. With Infinium Energy™, we transform waste carbon into ultra-low carbon eFuels that decarbonize aviation, industry, and transport. Through Infinium Edge™, we deliver next-generation thermal infrastructure for data centers—unlocking extreme compute performance by removing heat as a constraint. Grounded in deep chemistry and energy systems expertise, Infinium turns carbon and heat from limits into opportunity.

Infinium Operations Texas, LLC is building advanced energy infrastructure in Pecos, Texas—and we're looking for a dedicated EHS Specialist to help ensure our people and operations stay safe.

The Role
As an EHS Specialist, you will support daily Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) operations across all departments—Production, Maintenance, and Laboratory. You will ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and government regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture across all shifts. This position is designed for a technically skilled individual with hands-on experience in industrial or oil & gas environments who is seeking to grow into a professional EHS career.

What You'll Do
Operational EHS Support
  • Conduct daily site inspections, hazard assessments, and near-miss investigations during assigned shift
  • Monitor and support safe work practices in construction, operations, and maintenance
  • Perform Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Permit-to-Work (PTW) reviews for high-risk tasks
  • Participate in shift toolbox talks and reinforce EHS messages with frontline crews
  • Perform pre-startup safety reviews and follow up with corrective actions
  • Monitor waste management practices and waste disposal
Incident Response & Reporting
  • Coordinate incident responses, reporting and interactions with authorities with management personnel
  • Own the incident management system and all resulting work
  • Act as the first point of contact for shift-level incidents, spills, or unsafe conditions
  • Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA/JHA)
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare preliminary incident reports
  • Ensure timely documentation of observations, incidents, and corrective actions in EHS systems or logs
  • Own the emergency planning and response plan, including protocols for hurricane, flood, tornado, and other emergency scenarios
Compliance & Recordkeeping
  • Maintain shift records for inspections, audits, and safety meetings
  • Keep Process Safety Information filed and up to date
  • Support compliance with local and federal environmental and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, or equivalent)
  • Assist in preparing data for monthly EHS performance reports and key metrics tracking
Training & Culture
  • Reinforce EHS policies and serve as a peer mentor for safe behaviors on shift
  • Maintain and train all staff in safety protocols and systems
  • Conduct or assist with safety orientation and refresher training for operations personnel
  • Promote a culture of reporting, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Generate weekly reports to provide feedback to personnel on the status of EHS programs
  • Identify areas of opportunity and bring improvement ideas to operating and engineering teams
  • Manage contractor compliance

What We're Looking For
  • Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3–6 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial operations
  • Understanding of OSHA standards, hazardous materials handling, and environmental management practices
  • Knowledge of safe work practices, safety procedures, and proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) and equipment isolation method
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage field crews effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of incident reporting systems and EHS software
  • Ability to work independently during shifts and exercise sound judgment under pressure
  • Basic understanding of environmental monitoring, industrial hygiene, and emergency response
  • Preferred certifications: OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, or Incident Command System (ICS)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel to field locations as needed
  • Able and willing to meet on-call requirements, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Work Environment
Industrial plant environment with exposure to hazardous materials and compliance with applicable environmental and safety regulations. This is a field-based, hands-on role requiring mobility, situational awareness, and strict adherence to company and regulatory safety standards.
