Summary
The Senior EHS Specialist - Environmental & Sustainability leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of MPG's sustainability and environmental management programs.
In this role, you'll collaborate with leaders, suppliers, and global stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives, manage environmental reporting, support regulatory compliance, and advance MPG's environmental performance across manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, and office operations.
This position is ideal for a forward-thinking environmental professional who is passionate about creating measurable business impact through sustainability and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
  • Lead company sustainability initiatives and support long-term environmental goals and strategies.
  • Translate parent-company sustainability priorities into operational programs, standards, and measurable objectives.
  • Coordinate projects focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, water consumption, waste generation, and environmental impacts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and IT to identify and implement sustainability improvements.
  • Develop and manage environmental performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems.
  • Prepare sustainability reports for leadership, customers, certification bodies, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Support environmental certifications including EcoVadis, ISO 14001, FSC, SFI, SGP, LEED, BREEAM, and other sustainability frameworks.
  • Coordinate environmental audits, permit renewals, inspections, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
  • Monitor environmental regulations, industry trends, and customer expectations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Partner with suppliers and stakeholders to strengthen environmental performance and supply chain sustainability.
  • Develop business cases that demonstrate environmental benefits, operational efficiencies, cost savings, and risk reduction opportunities.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance related to environmental compliance and sustainability best practices.
What You'll Bring
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, EHS, Natural Resources, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting environmental management, sustainability, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or industrial operations.
  • Experience implementing sustainability programs across multiple facilities or business functions.
  • Experience with environmental compliance, audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting environmental certifications and sustainability frameworks preferred.
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of greenhouse gas accounting (Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3) and sustainability reporting.
  • Knowledge of energy, water, waste management, and environmental performance programs.
  • Experience with environmental management systems and sustainability frameworks.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments and functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental reporting systems.
