We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.**SUMMARY:** Aligned Data Centers is seeking a Regional Safety Manager to oversee safety management functions for construction projects and data center operations within the Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Lubbock TX regions.The Aligned Regional EHS Manager must be an experienced professional in safety, health, and environment management practices. This position will be responsible for preventing incidents through proactive safety management processes for Aligned Data Center operations and construction expansion projects. This position will be required to be based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area. The Regional EHS Manager will be required to be on site to support ongoing construction or operations, with possible travel to other regions to support ongoing projects.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:****Responsibilities Relating to Construction, General Contractor, Sub-Tier, and Trade Partner Operations:*** Effectively review, audit, and analyze for compliance risk elimination and reduction with the general contractor and trade partners for such high-risk activities including, but not limited to, electrical work, excavation, fall protection, material handling, crane operations, hot-work, and hazardous material management.* Conduct EHS audits of Aligned Data Centers construction sites to ensure compliance with Aligned Data Centers EHS Requirements, OSHA, DEQ., etc., and life safety requirements. Meet with general contractor management and safety team leadership to immediately or promptly correct deficiencies, and track audit data, corrective actions, and completion timelines. Collaborate with general contractor and trade partner leadership to develop and implement corrective action or safety improvement plans, when needed.* Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes to standards and regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA DEQ, etc., to assure compliance by Aligned Data Centers construction general contractors and trade partners.* Represent Aligned Data Centers during incident investigations, major near-miss investigations, and root cause analysis led by the general contractor. Approve corrective and preventive actions the contractor or trade partner develop to prevent incidents and near-miss recurrence.* Partner with the Aligned Data Centers Construction Manager(s) and Leadership throughout the construction pre-bidding and review process, and analyze general contractors, trade partners, and contractors submitting bids. Offer input on contractor safety performance relating to Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and Workers Compensation Experience Modification Rate (EMR), and identify any OSHA, DEQ, or EPA violations. In addition, review contractors' written safety manuals, injury prevention programs, and safe means and methods processes. Offer insights regarding contractor performance to the Aligned Data Centers Construction Manager(s).* Lead the contractor safety page turns for those companies planning to perform work on Aligned Data Centers expansion projects or data center operational construction activities to ensure all Aligned Data Centers EHS requirements are being met. Require additions or corrections to their EHS programs and injury prevention programs (IPP).* Collect and analyze best practices, lessons learned, and corrective actions to share with Aligned Data Centers stakeholders to prevent reoccurrence for safety, health, environmental, and quality related incidents.* Collaborate with and report key-performance indicators (KPIs) to Aligned Data Centers customers. Develop necessary reporting documents, and communicate all incidents, lessons learned, and corrective actions in an efficient and effective manner. Lead and conduct incident and root cause analysis reviews with customers and collaborate on corrective actions and programmatic changes.* Participate in and support project related meetings or events, including but not limited to: commissioning meetings, site tours, customer visits/assessments, key high-risk activities, stretch and flex, site safety stand downs, weekly safety meetings, and weekly progress meetings.* Network with other data center EHS managers within the industry, sharing and discussing innovative EHS means, products, and methods to improve safety and health processes to prevent incidents.**Responsibilities Relating to Data Center Operations:*** Implement and manage Aligned Data Centers' EHS standards and principles, policies, procedures, and practices, including but not limited to EHS management systems, risk assessments, and assistance with industrial hygiene assessments as required. In addition, ensure that Aligned Data Centers comply with OSHA, Department of Environmental Quality, Environmental Protection Program regulations, or other applicable regulations.* Effectively review, audit, and analyze for compliance all onsite contractors working within active data centers. Collaborate with Aligned Data Centers staff on high-risk activities including, but not limited to, electrical work, fall protection, material handling, trenching, excavation, hot work, and hazardous material management.* Manage the Aligned Data Centers EHS plans for emergencies, threatening weather occurrences, natural disasters, business continuity interruptions, political and social unrest, demonstrations, and other unique events affecting Aligned Data Centers personnel or operations.* Conduct EHS audits of live, operational, data centers to ensure compliance with EHS and life safety requirements. Meet with and fully assist the Aligned Data Centers operations teams in correcting deficiencies identified.* Support and lead incident investigations, near-miss investigations, and root cause analysis; develop corrective and preventive actions that can be identified, communicated globally, and implemented to prevent reoccurrence.* Monitor, interpret, and communicate global summaries of changes to standards and regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, DEQ, etc., to ensure compliance and proactive risk management.* Collaborate with and report key-performance indicators (KPIs) to Aligned Data Centers customers. Develop necessary reporting documents, and communicate all incidents, lessons learned, and corrective actions in an efficient and effective manner. Lead and conduct incident and root cause analysis reviews with customers, and collaborate on corrective actions and programmatic changes.Travel as needed to support both direct and indirect regions, and to support ongoing EHS initiatives with Aligned, up to 25%.**MINIMUM DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:**The candidate for this position must have at a minimum of five (5) years that have been dedicated solely to data center or commercial building construction safety management and hold the following credentials:* Bachelor's degree or higher in EHS discipline or EHS-related field and* Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or,* Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and seeking a CSP or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) seeking an ASP/CSP* Or deemed qualified by the SVP of Aligned EHS to possess the safety acumen necessary to effectively provide EHS oversight for the projects within the assigned region.In addition, have a thorough working knowledge of the following work processes relating to data center or industrial construction:* Confined Space* Cranes* Mobile Equipment Operations* Electrical Safety Management* Lock Out/Tag Out(LOTO)* Electrical/Mechanical Commissioning* Excavation/Trenching* Fall Protection* Scaffolds* Precast and Steel Erection* Demolition**COMPETENCIES:*** **Diversity** - Demonstrates knowledge of EEO policy;
