The EHS Manager is a dynamic leader responsible for driving high standards of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) performance at the site. As a strategic partner to the Plant Manager, the EHS Manager leads by example, inspiring and empowering the EHS team and all site personnel to embrace a proactive safety culture. This role is pivotal in championing continuous improvement, implementing effective change management strategies, and ensuring that EHS initiatives align with organizational goals. The EHS Manager is accountable for delivering measurable results, fostering open communication, and influencing positive change across the organization, even in the face of resistance or conflicting interests. Through visionary leadership and a commitment to excellence, the EHS Manager ensures the site not only meets but exceeds EHS expectations, creating a safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplace.

• Lead and inspire the local EHS team, ensuring they possess the knowledge, skills, and motivation to achieve site EHS goals.


• Champion a culture of care, safety vision, and organizational mindsets, ensuring alignment across all levels of site management and staff.


• Influence and drive positive change through persuasion and collaboration, even without direct authority.

• Develop, maintain, and leverage EHS reports and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and ensure proper risk management.


• Plan, implement, monitor, and optimize the local operational EHS management system.


• Ensure ongoing compliance with all binding EHS standards , environmental laws/regulations/site permits . C oordinat e internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.


• Complete or ensure accurate completion of environmental report s and permit ting.


• Support and ensure preventive EHS processes, including Job Hazard Analysis, incident investigations, and inspections.


• Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs to educate employees on best practices and regulatory requirements.


• Ensure Operations owns EHS risk management and reduction in their areas of responsibility


• Ensure site readiness for emergency situations (e.g., serious injury, fire, chemical release, weather emergencies).

• Serve as the local contact for internal and external stakeholders on all EHS topics.


• Liaise with external agencies, authorities, and stakeholders regarding EHS matters.


• Ensure transparent communication and knowledge sharing following incidents, in accordance with company expectations.


• Facilitate learning from events at sister plants, ensuring key details are communicated and controls are implemented for similar risks.


• Drive modifications and improvements in existing methods to enhance quality and value in daily operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Environmental, or Science discipline.


• 4–7 years of relevant professional experience in EHS management.


• Broad expertise in EHS theory, principles, and advanced technical/operational practices.


• Proven experience managing site air, water, and waste compliance.


• Proven experience in leading project teams and driving change.


• Strong English language skills (minimum B2 level).


• Demonstrated ability to solve complex, multidimensional problems and influence outcomes through effective communication.


• Strategic and tactical thinking, with the ability to set and achieve short- to mid-term operational goals.


• Strong leadership and team development skills.


• Excellent communication and influencing abilities, especially in environments with conflicting interests.


• Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in EHS practices.


• Ability to work effectively with national and regional teams.
