Job description

Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Regulatory Manager with deep expertise in Title V air permitting, Process Safety Management (PSM), and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) compliance. The ideal candidate will come directly from the paint, coatings, or chemical manufacturing industry, bringing hands-on experience in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.
 
 Key Responsibilities
•     Lead all EHS and regulatory compliance initiatives across manufacturing and R&D operations
•     Manage and maintain Title V air permits, including renewals, modifications, and agency reporting
•     Oversee PSM programs, ensuring alignment with OSHA standards and continuous improvement
•     Develop, update, and audit SDS documentation in accordance with GHS and local regulations
•     Serve as the primary liaison with federal, state, and local environmental agencies
•     Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses
•     Implement training programs for employees on EHS protocols and regulatory updates
•     Monitor and report on KPIs related to environmental impact, safety performance, and compliance
•     Support product stewardship and regulatory reviews for new formulations and raw materials
•     Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, R&D, legal, and executive leadership
 
Qualifications
•     Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
•     7+ years of EHS and regulatory experience in the paint, coatings, or chemical industry
•     Proven expertise in Title V air permitting, PSM, and SDS/GHS compliance
•     Strong working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, DOT, and state-level regulations
•     Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
•     Certification in CSP, CIH, or CHMM is a plus
