Environmental Health & Safety Team

EHS Director
Type: Non-Exempt; Full-time

About the position:

We are looking for an experienced Administrator who will help with organization of corporate activities on a daily basis, supporting managers and ensuring our office procedures run smoothly. Your duties will include managing office equipment, booking meetings and events, distributing mail, budget administration, time keeping, ordering office supplies and materials, and effective communication with all teams.

You should be highly organized, able to multitask with ease and have experience as an Office Administrator, Secretary or relevant administrative role. You should also be familiar with office software (e.g. MS Office), including word processors, spreadsheets and presentations.

Responsibilities are:
  • Perform all work safely and according to company standards
  • Work well with others within the team and throughout the organization
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Provide excellent customer service and professionalism with all communication
  • Schedule and arrange for monthly team activities
  • Prepare reports for upper management
  • Order/Purchase office supplies and materials
  • Monitor and maintain departmental budgets
  • Use SAP to record and track invoices for the department
  • Communicate with all teams and departments. Relay information as required
  • Maintain electronic documents. File hard copy documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
      Requirements are:

        Education:

        • (Required) high school diploma or GED
        • (Preferred) bachelor's degree; business administration major or related field

        Experience:

        Language:

        • (Required) good command of written and spoken English

        Skills & Knowledge:

        • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
        • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
        • Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
        • Clerical - Excellent working knowledge and skills related to administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
        • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
        • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
        • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
        • Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action

        Physical Demands:

        • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
        • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
        • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
        • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
        • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
