Job description

Account Manager, Home Energy Rebates

Everblue ยท Remote (NC, NH, MN, or NV) ยท Full-time

About Everblue

Everblue helps government agencies and nonprofits run better through software, program management, and workforce training. Our work powers the Weatherization Assistance Program, IRA Home Energy Rebates, and dozens of other programs that make a real difference in real peopleโ€™s lives. Weโ€™re a small, mission-driven team thatโ€™s low-ego, hardworking, and obsessed with getting it done and done right.

The Role

Weโ€™re hiring an Account Manager to own the relationship for a portfolio of state energy office and government clients. Youโ€™ll report to the Program Director and become the Everblue point of contact for your accounts, the person clients trust to make sure every promise gets kept.

This isnโ€™t a support-ticket job. You own onboarding, satisfaction, renewals, and growth for your portfolio, and you partner closely with Program Managers to make sure delivery matches what was promised. You turn a successful program into a long-term partnership. Please note this is NOT an IT/Technology related position.

What Youโ€™ll Own
  • Owning the relationship. Be the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of state energy office and government accounts. Lead onboarding, build account plans, and run the cadence that maintains client confidence in Everblue.
  • Protecting and growing revenue. Drive retention, renewals, and scope expansions. Spot the accounts ready for additional modules and services before your client asks.
  • Partnering with delivery. Work closely with Program Managers and delivery teams so commitments get met and issues get resolved fast. Translate client needs into clear requirements and advocate for your client internally.
  • Navigating government process. Get fluent in procurement cycles, statements of work, change orders, and invoicing. Prepare the proposals, pricing, and account documentation state agencies expect, and support RFP responses when they come up.
  • Representing Everblue. Show up in client meetings, product demos, and industry events as the face of the account.
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • 4 to 10 years in account management, client success, or relationship management, ideally B2B or B2G SaaS or professional services. Titles vary; results matter more.
  • A track record of growing client relationships and hitting retention, renewal, or revenue goals.
  • Customer instinct. You build trust with senior client stakeholders quickly, and you keep it.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, and the organization to run multiple accounts and competing priorities at once.
  • Someone who stays curious and keeps ego low. Youโ€™d rather get the right answer than be the smartest person in the room.
  • A bias to deliver on the intent behind every task, not just the letter of it. When youโ€™re handed a problem, you go figure it out. No excuses, no reminders needed. (If A Message to Garcia doesnโ€™t already mean something to you, give it a read.)
  • Self-directed with the discipline to thrive in a remote team. Travel as needed for client engagements.
  • Government or public-sector experience, energy efficiency or utilities background, familiarity with IRA Home Energy Rebates, and CRM proficiency (HubSpot or Salesforce) are all a plus, not a requirement.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
  • Strong relationships built with key contacts across your assigned accounts.
  • Account plans and a cadence owned and running for every client in your portfolio.
  • Program Managers and Account Management working as one seamless Everblue in front of the client.
  • A clear pipeline of renewal and expansion opportunities identified and underway.
Our Values
  • Mission-Driven. We get it done and done right. We deliver on the intent behind every task. We own the outcome.
  • Relentless Pursuit of Excellence. We challenge the status quo, stay curious, keep ego low, and stay efficient and resourceful.
  • People First. We lead with trust, stay personable and real, and work hard and play hard.
Why Youโ€™ll Love Working Here
  • Mission that matters. Your work powers real workforce, energy, and efficiency programs across the U.S.
  • Remote-first. Home-based within your assigned states, with a team that stays close despite the distance.
  • Competitive compensation. Bonus and commission eligibility, a SIMPLE IRA with company match, and a health reimbursement program.
  • A small, capable team that moves fast, ships well, and stays out of each otherโ€™s way.
Equal Opportunity

Everblue is an equal opportunity employer. We value the diverse perspectives, experiences, and talents within our team and encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
