About Everblue
Empower professionals. Advance sustainability. Make a difference.
Everblue is a mission-driven, veteran-owned small business committed to improving careers, strengthening government programs, and advancing energy market transformation. We specialize in energy efficiency training for contractors participating in Energy Rebates Programs, Weatherization Assistance Programs (WAP), and Workforce Development Programs. We ensure professionals have the skills and knowledge to effectively implement energy-saving measures.
Our EdTech expertise allows us to leverage technology solutions to streamline and enhance business processes, driving innovation and efficiency across various sectors. Everblue is headquartered in Huntersville, North Carolina.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable Technical Instructor to deliver high-quality training to adult learners in the fields of energy efficiency, weatherization, and home and building performance.
This role requires regular travel to conduct classroom and field-based instruction, ensuring participants gain the practical skills needed for industry certification and professional success.
As part of Everblue’s nationwide instructional team, you will represent the best in education and sustainability—helping technicians, contractors, and energy professionals master emerging technologies that improve homes, buildings, and communities.
We deliver training regionally and nationally, and will work with you to train where it makes the most sense based on program needs and your expertise.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions aligned to Everblue’s certification programs (BPI, RESNET, LEED, Solar, or Weatherization)
  • Facilitate classroom instruction and field exercises, ensuring participant understanding and safety
  • Travel to training sites regionally, typically Monday–Friday on a recurring basis
  • Assess student performance through skill demonstrations, field exams, and written evaluations
  • Collaborate with curriculum developers, clients, and operations staff to enhance content and learner experience
  • Prepare and maintain training materials, field equipment, and classroom resources
  • Serve as a professional representative of Everblue, modeling technical expertise and outstanding customer service
Requirements
  • Field experience in energy auditing, weatherization, building performance, solar installation, or similar technical disciplines
  • Prior teaching, field supervision, or technical training experience preferred
  • Current BPI, RESNET, NABCEP, or similar certification required
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with adult learners
  • Ability to manage logistics for travel-based training (travel, shipping, setup, and tear down)
  • Proficiency in computer and presentation tools (Microsoft Office, Zoom)
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
Desired Attributes
  • Natural curiosity
  • Passion for sustainability and workforce development
  • Exceptional organizational skills and training preparation
  • Comfort working independently in diverse field environments
  • Ability to adapt quickly and creatively to meet learner needs
Benefits & Compensation
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
  • Paid travel and lodging for all assignments
  • Continuous professional development opportunities
