Position is either part of the service crew or egg picker
Service Crew - Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Repair and maintain building (inside and out)
- Prepare laying houses for next batch of birds
- Move chickens from brooders to laying houses
- Depopulate laying houses
- Keeping farm clean
- Catch loose chickens
- Help with other farm projects as needed
Egg Picker - Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Wear egg carrier with stack of egg trays
- Walk an assigned row of birds and pick eggs (2 in each hand) and place in egg tray
- Gather trays and stack on egg trucks
- Work as a team with other egg pickers
- Help with other farm projects as needed
- Schedule includes weekends
Essential Functions:
- Must be reliable and responsible to get to work on time
- Must be ok with working on the weekends
Schedule: 7a - 4p (Must be available to work weekends)
Starting Pay: $16 per hour
