Associate, Relationship Manager (Fund Managers) | GP Engagement Manager | (Associate)

Role Description

Private Data Services team is seeking an engagement manager with a financial background to work closely with General Partners (GPs) in the service provision to our clients. The GP Engagement Manager will be responsible for building and managing relationships with GPs to enable stronger service delivery to clients globally. In developing these partnerships, the GPEM will also ensure broad awareness of our products within the industry.

Private Data Services team provides world-class expertise in the collection and validation of investment data for investors in alternative assets. PDS streamlines the exchange of data between limited and general partners, allowing investors the continuous access to accurate and standardized data. Private Data Service is a part of Aladdin Business.

The Aladdin Business is comprised of 1,200+ professionals responsible for implementing and supporting our Aladdin clients, sales and marketing, and ensuring the Aladdin Community maximizes Aladdin products through engagement and education.

In this role, you will:

  • Gain detailed knowledge of the Alternative Asset industry and become proficient in the Insight product and service offering.

  • Onboard new GP partners in collaboration with our broader Client Success function and other Private Data Services teams.

  • Work with GP data contributors and clients to build positive relationships at various levels within their organizations through consistent communication, expectations management, and exceptional client service.

  • Analyze data to systematically increase data completeness and reduce delivery timelines as well as identifying ways to deliver better quality services to clients

  • Through engagement, incentivize and seek opportunities to commercialize through identifying potential business development opportunities.

  • Communicate with Head of GP Relations, Client Success and other Insight team members on all matters which are necessary for successful quarterly data collection campaigns and to support development of internal technology as applicable.

  • Collect client/partner feedback on the service and product and take necessary actions, including raising issues that impact service delivery.

  • Nurture strong internal relationships within eFront, Aladdin, and the wider BlackRock organization globally, in support of GPs and clients.

  • Ensure quality assurance of product deployments, collaborating closely with technology teams to identify and resolve product bugs and enhancements.

Experience Required

  • Educated to a minimum degree level in Finance, Economics, or Technology-related fields

  • Demonstrable interest in Financial Markets with knowledge of Alternative Assets being advantageous

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and support a global business with flexible working hours.

  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize activities daily

  • Excellent presentation skills, energetic and dynamic personality

  • Advanced MS Office knowledge (especially Excel)

  • Previous experience in a financial technology firm working in sales or relationship management or in an investment firm in data management being a plus

For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$132,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
