Purpose
To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational development and maturity. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create a learning environment that challenges students at all ability levels and encourages inquiry, collaboration and creativity. Teacher will be required to integrate technology into classroom activities; differentiate instruction; effectively utilize formative and summative assessments; use data to inform instruction, etc.
Qualifications
Certified teacher in the state of Indiana. English major or minor required. Master's degree in English desired with interest, capability, and willingness to teach Dual Credit and/or AP courses in the future preferred. Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Degree required in the area of specialty. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
