Position Overview

This is a remote position; qualified candidates must live and be eligible to work in the USA. Some travel is required.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Provide overall leadership for ERP/SIS projects
  • Track and report on project budget
  • Establish a project plan that is suitable for the size and scope of each assigned project
  • Schedule and manage SIG resources assigned to projects; collaborate with the Resource Manager
  • Work with the client to ensure appropriate client resources are assigned to the project; manage all implementation teams
  • Provide advisory services to support change management for the organization
  • Track project progress and provide regular status reports to project sponsors and other executives as appropriate
  • Escalate project issues and identify potential setbacks on time
  • Work with the client to develop a risk management plan

Required Qualifications

  • Five+ years of project management experience within Higher Education is a must
  • Experience with SaaS implementation is a must-have
  • Experience managing the development and implementation of software enhancements, maintenance programs, and new releases of these products
  • Exceptional written, oral communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in effectively communicating and reporting at the executive level
  • Experience using project management tools such as Smartsheet to plan and track large, complex projects
  • Ability to organize and lead multiple projects for more than one client simultaneously
  • Proven experience serving as a project lead and motivating teams to action
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner, Colleague, or other ERP and Student Information Systems
  • Ability to travel to client campuses on occasion (up to 25%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Consulting experience is preferred
  • Ideal candidates will hold a PMP certification

The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location. Final compensation will be determined through mutual agreement between the successful candidate and SIG.
