Job DescriptionAs a Railcar Logistics Coordinator, you will support daily rail operations within your assigned territory, ensuring the safe, efficient, and customer-focused movement of railcars. Reporting to the Railcar Logistics Manager, you will balance planning, coordination, and real-time problem-solving to ensure shipment accuracy, operational compliance, and on-time delivery.
What you’re responsible for:
- Authorizing railcar releases in accordance with company guidelines and monitoring approved quantities to prevent over-shipments.
- Ensuring railcars contain the correct product and are routed to the appropriate destination.
- Diverting railcars as required and creating new routing instructions for new destinations.
- Tracking monthly purchase orders and maintaining operational records and files.
- Monitoring railcar flows to minimize asset usage charges and ensure efficient cycle times.
- Preparing and sending daily reports on the availability of empty railcars that can be ordered or returned within the assigned territory.
- Responding to internal customer requests and providing timely operational support.
- Collaborating closely with yard staff to support daily operations and meet shipping deadlines.

- You have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in rail operations logistics.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Excel.
