Built on the research of Dr. Spencer Kagan, the organization is best known for Kagan Structuresโ€”simple, research-based interactive instructional strategies used successfully by thousands of teachers and schools throughout the US and internationally.


Job Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for implementing Kaganโ€™s marketing efforts, focusing primarily on promoting workshop bookings and registrations. The role consists of coordinating marketing projects across multiple departments and with external workshop hosts to ensure all marketing materials and initiatives are accurate, completed on time, and aligned with organizational goals.


Marketing Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Implement existing marketing strategies to increase registrations for workshops, academies, tours, and other marketed programs.
  • Promote events and support brand growth and visibility through creating and delivering social media messages across platforms including: Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Oversee all aspects of event marketing, including scholarship programs, email marketing campaigns, social media promotion, and other marketing initiatives to maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the Kagan Ambassador Program, including recruitment, application management, annual team development, incentive programs, volunteer opportunities, social media engagement, article submissions, video content, and distribution of promotional materials and SWAG.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and submit Requests for Proposals (RFPs) accurately and by established deadlines.
  • Proofread and maintain marketing materials, create promotional and informational site flyers, review workshop web pages for accuracy, coordinate promotions, and ensure timely distribution of marketing materials to the warehouse and other stakeholders.
  • Manage marketing campaigns from planning through execution, ensuring projects are completed effectively, accurately, and by established deadlines while monitoring performance and results.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop new marketing programs, report results, and ensure marketing outcomes are aligned with Kaganโ€™s mission, vision, and values.
  • Prepare & lead monthly marketing meetings to communicate upcoming campaigns, report marketing results, and seek approvals from the Marketing Manager, Chief Managing Director and/or Executive Directors.
  • Complete or manage additional tasks or duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager from time to time.

Pay Transparency:

In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is between $25.00 and $35.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Requirements:

Marketing Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in marketing and social media management.
  • Experience using email marketing systems, building campaigns. Using automation and workflows is highly desired for this position.
  • Experience in educational marketing, event marketing, or both is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Strong reading comprehension, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications and technology platforms, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate effectively with team members across the organization.
  • Graphic design skills and video creation skills are preferred.
  • AI content creation and design skills are preferred.
  • Confidence in calling and working with educational leaders such as principals is preferred.

Marketing Coordinator Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficiency with the following programs and platforms is required:
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Skills with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere preferred.
  • Social media platforms and analytics
  • Canva or other comparable design programs
  • Email marketing systems
  • Travel up to 4 times per year to Kagan marketed Academies and events as needed.
  • This is an in-office position in San Clemente, with the opportunity to work remotely on Fridays after completing training.
