POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Position Title: Education Leader
Reports To: Senior Education Leader
Classification: Full-Time/Salaried/Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Range USA is looking for an experienced firearms instructor to train new instructors, audit courses and classrooms, and ensure our education curriculum and standards are upheld. The Education Leader position is critical to ensure Range USA's education is of the highest quality and to ensure we can achieve our mission of creating responsible gun owners.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Certify new instructors for their assigned locations through training and co-instructing.
  • Audit classes and private lessons within all assigned locations and for all instructors per guidelines set forth by the operations team via in person or video.
  • Provide audit feedback sheets to instructors and operations/education leadership.
  • Support instructors within their district with any course or education related issues or questions.
  • Assist with maintenance of instructor portal shifts and shift trades.
  • Assist with communication between the Support Center and stores.
  • Assist with Help Desk tickets
  • Conduct monthly or as needed RSO training for new employees in assigned locations.
  • Ensure new stores are ready to offer education, including instructors and classrooms.
  • Support the education department in ensuring compliance with each state's credentialing.
  • Enforce standards for all instructors per all company policies and manuals.
  • Attend weekly conference call with all district leadership to encourage consistency in the stores.
  • Weekly audit of clocks to scheduled hours for the prior week submitted to operations.
  • This position does not directly oversee the instructors in stores as they report directly to the Store Leader but works to ensure quality of education through training and auditing.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of firearms instructing experience, preferably in a large group setting.
  • Must meet all applicable State certification requirements.
  • Ability to understand, recall and follow complex compliance regulations and the ability to work with highly confidential information.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule and hours necessary to open and/or close the store including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel extensively to support new store openings and education audits (company credit card provided)
  • Availability to attend USCCA Training Counselor training (unless currently USCCA credentialed) - date TBD
